1. How do you envision using art in your classroom?
I envision using art in my classroom as a form of expression, so that the kids will feel comfortable with their emotions and also use art as a way that they can cope and relieve stress. I also want to integrate art with the other subjects learned in school such as social studies, science, math, reading and writing because some kids might struggle with those subjects but they also might excel in art so integrating specific concepts from those subjects and using art as a way to help them might spark an interest for those subjects and help them learn easier.
2. What do you know about integrated learning / integration?
I know that kids will benefit from integrating subjects because they might not even be aware they are learning two subjects in one unit, which is easier for them but also more fun for them as well.

3- I always felt like I was good at art and liked doing it in school because I took a lot art classes such as ceramics, drawing, painting, etc but I am unsure if I still have those artistic skills because I haven't been able to practice those recently or focus mainly on that since starting college.
4. Rate your comfort level in analyzing and talking about art, and discuss.

1- I don't really know that much about analyzing art and discussing important themes or techniques used that an artist made.
End of Semester:
1. How do you envision using art in your classroom?
I envision using art in my classroom by making the classroom nice to visually look at so the kids notice that art is appreciated in the classroom. I also would envision integrating art into lesson plans so it provides a time where kids can relax and just focus on the "extension" part of the lesson using art.
2. What do you know about integrated learning / integration?
I now know that art integration is huge. Not only, for art to be incorporated into the classroom, but kids will get a more meaningful product from art if there is a big idea or theme for it to be connected to. Art can easily be integrated into any subject and it can easily be relatable for everyone because everyone sees something different when they look at art. Integration in art can include anything the kids are passionate about or want to discuss further. This integration made me realize that art is for everyone so integrating art can benefit for the whole class.

4- I feel very comfortable making art because I understand that even though sometimes your art is not how you envisoned it or wanted it turn out a certain way, I know my students will encompass this problem as well. Personally, I want everything to be in order and perfect and throughout this semester I learned that art is not always like that so it is okay for it to not go according to plan. This is something I can teach my students because I can show them that even teachers make mistakes so it is okay to not love your finished product as much as you thought you would.

4- I feel comfortable talking about art now because I understand the aspects and factors that went into making an art piece. Even though I may not understand every concept the artpiece is telling, doing a VTS exercise can definitely just get me chatting about art and I would definitely use this in my classroom for kids who are unsure of how to start talking about art.
